Do: Bear Bash and the 16th Street Celebration

Downtown Greeley’s Bear Bash takes place Friday, September 18, from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. along 16th Street in Greeley, Colorado.

This free community event celebrates the completion of the 16th Street construction project. The evening begins with the University of Northern Colorado Marching Band and Spirit Groups, followed by an official ribbon cutting and live music.

Businesses along 16th Street will offer event-only specials and student activities. The WeldWalls Mural Festival will also participate with murals, artist conversations and Art Night Out activities.

Jenny’s Malt Shop is a family-owned and operated Greeley business that has been serving the community for more than 25 years. Its menu includes burgers, fries, breakfast burritos, funnel cakes, cinnamon chews, hard ice cream and more than 100 flavors of shave ice, shakes and malts.

Jenny’s is located at 923 16th Street, making it an easy stop before Bear Bash begins Friday afternoon.

Explore: UNC Bears Football at Nottingham Field

For a Saturday night option, the University of Northern Colorado Bears host Northeastern State at 6:00 p.m. on September 19 at Nottingham Field in Greeley.

The game is also UNC’s Latinx Heritage Day, recognizing and celebrating the local Latinx community.

Tickets are required. UNC offers reserved seating and general-admission seating, with general-admission seats available on a first-come, first-served basis. Parking passes are also available through the university.
